I stepped aside from the Photo a Day Challenge today and just took photos of what we were up to. Being Easter Friday and having 4 days with my daughter at home from school meant we got busy with some Easter crafts. We tried dying some eggs for the first time. Some were tie dyed by wrapping blown out duck and chicken eggs with paper towel wrapped in vinegar and water. Others we drew designs on with crayons and then dyed them in various colours.

Selection of freshly laid duck and silkie chicken eggs (from our own ducks and chickens) that we coloured and dyed today.

My daughter holding up her favourite egg after we drew on the crayon designs, prior to dyeing them.

My daughter took a photo of me with one of the egg designs that I liked the most.
We also had a lot of fun making Easter bunny headbands, hubby even joined in and made one too. It was great doing crafts as a whole family and I am certain in with give my daughter wonderful memories of Easter fun this year. No photographs of the Easter hats until Sunday though!
