A Little Break

No posts over the last 2 days as we took a little break away in Darwin. It was a busy 2 days for us, and hubby had to do a lot of unfamiliar driving. While we did get a chance to take our daughter to see the crocodiles and reptiles at Crocosaurus Cove in Darwin, as well as going swimming in the beautiful hotel pool, and 2 trips to TimeZone to play some fun games, it was a fairly rushed trip, with an important appointment and lots of shopping. Mostly for the baby and our daughters birthday present.

While I did pack my Panasonic GX-7 for the trip, I didn't actually take it out of the bag the entire time we were gone. I managed to snap a couple of awkward photos from my phone. Alas, I have a budget-model phone which a fairly poor quality camera thanks to a washing machine accident involving my previous phone. The photos aren't great, but they are something.

I'll admit there were a few moments when I wish I had my camera on me, such as when hubby was sitting and standing underneath the waterfall into the pool at the hotel, water making his hair go everywhere over his face. However, I was happier in the end leaving it aside, it allowed me to really be there in the moment with my two more precious people and enjoy the time spent with them, the fun and the laughter, without worrying about trying to get "that shot".
